Hogsmead Village Shops

Here are a few more pics of some of the shops that you will find in Hogsmead Village at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.  First stop: Dogweed and Deathcap where you can window shop for the infamous, screaming Mandrake!  Make sure to plug your ears!

If you look up you will see the chimneys are quite wonky!

Next stop: Spintwitches.  Stock up on all your sporting goods here, including bludgers, Quidditch World Cup info, broom wax, and of course the illustrious Golden Snitch!

Finally, last stop today.  After all your shopping you will need to refill your wallet.  So, don’t forget to stop by Gringotts Bank and use their ATM.  You will definitely want to have some money for tomorrow’s tour!

More Harry Potter

Well, I thought I would entertain you with more pictures from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.  I am going out of town for a quick trip this weekend so I’m not working on any projects this week.  So, here you go…You have to ride the ride in Hogwart’s Castle to see these fun things.  As you wind your way through the castle you will go through the student’s rooms, and even see the sorting hat!  Who does move and talk.

If you stroll your way through Hogsmead you will pass this ride

You can also window shop at some amazing store fronts: including Scrivenshafts, Pottages, and Gladrags (Yes that is the dress Hermione wore to the ball with Viktor Krum in the movie!).  Also, in the window with the dress notice the cat made from measuring tape!

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

This is quite possibily the most amazing place I’ve ever been (outside of my tour of Europe).  I had the fabulous luck of being able to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in Florida.  AMAZING!!  For any fan of the books or even the movies you would love this place.  It was so much fun.  They had so much to see and do from the Castle and the village of Hogsmead to visiting Olivander’s Wandshop and shopping for confections at Honeydukes.  They even had BUTTERBEER!  It was so yummy. You could get it cold or frozen.  Of course I tried both and I preferred it frozen.

You could wander the streets of Hogsmead, dine in the Three Broomsticks, or get a quick pint at the Hogshead (sorry minors, that one was for adults!).

You could even catch a show of the Hogwarts choir and the singing frogs!!!  It was so amazing.

I can’t wait to go back and see it when there aren’t a million people, but it was totally worth it!!!  Super Cool.  I’ll share more pictures throughout the week.  Oh and if you didn’t know, the full length trailer for the new Harry Potter movies is at the beginning of the new Twilight Eclipse movie.  Saw that today.  They did a great job on that one!  Hope you all are enjoying the summer.  Hugs,

Erica
