I got quite a bit done today as I was holed up in my craft room. It is super hot here in Denver, and combining extreme temperatures, 98 yesterday; 100 today, with smoky, thick air, I have no desire to be outside. So thank goodness for the air conditioner! Today I completed block number 3 in the Blogger’s BOM. This one was designed by Stephanie Dunphy at Loft Creations. She called it “Split Star”. I like it.
I have also been working on my Feather Fairy. I have gotten quite a bit done on some of the flowers in her skirt. Unbelievably, to me, even though I have three boxes of DMC floss, I do not have at least 5 colors for this pattern. So, I suppose I will need to find the nearest craft store to stock up.
Today I also worked on my table runner using “Wonderland” from MoMo. I am almost done. All that is left is to finish sewing on the binding by hand. Final pictures to come tomorrow, but until then, here is a peek at the finished top. It is going to be bound in the same off-white that I used on the top. The back is a dark olive green.
So, until tomorrow, I hope you are crafting to your hearts desire, or reading, or just plain relaxing!
Hugs,
You were busy yesterday. Block # 3 reminds me of hot weather, the really pretty red, and the star reminds me of the sun. Yes it is Hot, way too hot. What is it going to be like in July and August if it is that hot now? You are coming right along on your cross stitch, Isn’t it always that way, no matter how much thread you have, you never have the colors you need. The table runner really is beautiful, love the pattern and colors in it. Happy crafting again today, it is suppose to be another hot one.
Love
Grandma
