I have finished my first jawbreaker pillow using fabrics from “Lark” by Amy Butler. I love it. It’s actually just a cover and it can be easily removed for washing. I used a down pillow insert that I had from some old pillows I bought at Target a few years ago. I live that I didn’t have to buy a pillow form. It really brightens up the living room. Now I just have to make the other one and get some art up on the wall.
I started the second pillow. I have all the pieces sewn together now all I have to do is add the borders and quilt the top and add the back. I plan on getting it finished tomorrow when I get home.
I am also trying to finish a new book that I’m reading. It is from the Battle of the Books list for next year, and I’m trying to read as many books as I can to help write questions for the kids to train with. I will miss the fun I had coaching my battle kids this year. Anyway, the book is called Divergent by Veronica Roth and it is in dystopian Chicago. I am really enjoying it. I would recommend if for anyone who enjoyed The Hunger Games. Well I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Happy Memorial Day!
Great job Erica, The colors and the pattern really came together to make a beautiful pillow cover. I am sure it will look really nice on your couch. So now what are you going to put up on the walls? Happy quilting and reading, I am going to mention the book to
Xavi, maybe he would like to read it.
