Today I finished my first block on the Blue Nickel Studios Quilt Uber-Fest! I decided to use a stash of fabric that my mom and dad gave me for my birthday a while ago. It’s the Tea Time Floral III Collection from Lakehouse Dry Goods. I love the soft palette and the metallic touches on some of the fabrics. I thought this would be the perfect group of fabrics for this endeavor. I think it turned out great. Now on to day two!
In other news, it is still unbelievably warm here in Colorado. We were in the 80’s again today, but it looks like a change is in the forecast. Friday looks like it will be nice a crisp. The first quarter of school is almost over, which is hard to believe. The time has flown by, bu things in my classroom are moving along smoothly and my students are slowing coming into their own as writers. Well, until next time.
Hugs, E.
Erica,
Congradulations on finishing your first quilt block. Didn’t take you long to get that one done, and it is really pretty as all of the ones you do are. This is going to keep you busy, but good luck and Happy Quilting. Keep up the wonderful work and designs.
Love
Grandma
