Hidden Stars Quilt

I have finally finished this quilt.  It took forever (at least it feels like it took forever).  All that I have left to do is sew on the binding.  I tried my fist ever attempt at machine quilting, and I’m pretty pleased with the results.  It was a little difficult to quilt with my little Singer, but that machine is a trooper!  I just stitched in the ditch, and I really like the results.

I pieced the back using navy blue (it looks lighter in the pics, but it really is more navy) and some Robert Kaufman Navy fabric.  This quilt is for my father-in-law, who is retired Navy, so I had to get the navy in there.  I also chose the star pattern because of the Navy.  Now onto the binding.

  1. Erica, It turned out beautifully! Bill will be so please and you should be very proud. Great job with the quilting part. I can’t believe what you can accomplish with that little machine. Again great job!

  2. Erica, Your quilt turned out really great. I like the star pattern, and I am sure Bill will really like it too. Another great job. Have you received your new machine yet? The one your won. I will be anxious to hear how it works. Happy quilting
