New Pillows!

Wow, it’s been a while!  I can’t believe I haven’t posted anything for so long.  I needed some new pillows for my couch and I had several down inserts from old pillows.  The old covers had been worn out, so I used this idea from HGTV Designed to Sell.  Tanya took cloth napkins (they are already finished on the edges) and sewed them on three sides, then stuffed the pillow into the opening and then sew the fourth side closed.  I have two more to make that are going to be in a light robin’s egg blue color.  I got the napkins at Target.  There were four napkins, so that makes two pillows.  I love them, and it was super inexpensive.  So, I highly recommend doing this if you need new pillows.  It will only cost me $20 for four pillows because I already had the pillow inserts.  Hope you all have a great week!  Next time…check back to see what we got from Michael’s uncle in Thailand!!

  1. They turned out great! What a neat idea, decorative pillows are so expensive to buy you feel like you need to keep them until they wear out which is usually not before you get tired of them. Love the colors.

  2. What a great idea, and beautiful pillows. The blue ones will go great with the ones that you have already made. You will have to show us the blue ones too. Hope you have a great week too, can’t believe tomorrow is Friday already.

    Love You
