Monday, Monday

Happy Monday everyone.  Well, I made quite a bit more progress on my fairy this weekend.  Mostly on Saturday as I waited outside during my garage sale.  It wasn’t a great turnout, but I guess people are still really cutting back.  There were also three other garage sales on my street, and most people were on the hunt for very specific items.  I made about $80, which is better than nothing, but we didn’t sell the couch and therefore had to move it back into the house.  Actually the move back in was easier than the move out.  So, Tita, the couch is yours!  I did get some compliments on my signs.

I used my cricut to cut out all the letters and numbers and then glued them onto old cardboard poster backs.  I was pretty pleased with them.  They didn’t take long at all and were easy to read from the street.  Tomorrow I leave for Florida to visit my best friend.  I am very excited and can’t wait to relax on the beach.  Luckily they live on Florida’s east coast so no oil yet.  We are going to go to the new Harry Potter world at Universal Studios!!  Woo Hoo.  I am super excited about that.  In preparation for my trip, I got a pedicure, thanks to my mother in law who gave me a gift certificate she wouldn’t use.  The nail tech had this new way to do nails called Rock Star and it is basically a gel base and then glitter sprinkled on top and then more gel (this is done a couple of times).  Then she buffed them smooth and put a clear coat on to make them extra shiny and voila!  I have GLITTERED!!! toenails.  Awesome.  This picture doesn’t do them justice.  You should see them in the sunlight!

Well, there is much to be done today: laundry, packing, cleaning, etc.  So I’ll leave you with some more pictures of the flowers in my front garden.  Hope you all have a wonderful week.  Hugs,  Erica

  1. Happy Monday (as grandma always tells me!)

Glad that you made at least $80.00. Was that on top of the bike sales? Sorry that you didn’t have better luck. I have been putting off having a garage sale for just that reason. So much work, so little payoff!!
The signs did turn out really cute, and very visible.
Were you able to sell your books, and teacher supplies? If you didn’t I would post them on Craigs list too.

Love the toes!!! Very cute. The pictures of the flowers are great. I am jealous. The delphinium are beautiful as are all of them. So hot here everything is brown and dying :0( Oh well that is summer in the SW I guess.

Have a wonderful time in Florida. Enjoy those beaches.

  2. Forgot to mention the cross stitch. But she is coming along nicely. I really like the colors, she is going to be beautiful!!

  3. Erica, you did make good progress on your cross stitch. You certainly are much faster than I am. She is going to really be beautiful. I agree with your Mom, I really like the colors.
The pictures of the flowers are wonderful too. The blue ones are so very pretty, and so are the day lilies. Your camera takes great pictures, but it also takes a great picture taker too.

Have fun in Florida, especially at the Harry Potter place.
    Love You
