Ok, I have really been enjoying our 60 degree temperatures the past few days, but nothing can beat a SNOW DAY! Especially when it is the last day before SPRING BREAK!!! AWESOME. I found this image a long time ago and saved it, but now can’t remember where I found it (so thank you to whoever I took it from. :o).
This is the best surprise mother nature has given us all year, and I will say, the snow is coming down. My husband says it’s “Not Fair”, but I remind him that it is just one of the few perks we get as teachers. I am looking forward to getting a head start on my spring break projects. The district I’m currently working for gets 2 weeks, which I won’t have next year. Bummer. So, I’m going to enjoy this one. I think I’ll get started on my next quilt project. I have a lot of strips to cut. I’m going to use this Basic Gray line from Moda – Urban Couture.
I am quite excited to start it, especially since I have been going back and forth on which pattern to use. I think I have come to a decision. I am going to make the “Floral Bouquet” quilt from Jelly Roll Quilts by Pam and Nicky Lintott. I wanted a design that would really showcase the fabric, and I think this one will work because there is a lot of white background. This pattern makes a 60 x 88 in quilt, with 39, 10″ blocks. So, I better get working. I hope you all have a wonderful day!
Hugs, E
Snow Day??? Spring starts tomorrow. I thought that was your squirel, and that you really got a snow storm when I looked at the picture. Hope you didn’t get that much snow. Anyway, have a fun craft day and a great weekend.
Love You
