Hi all,
I finished “Tigerlily” last night. Those last beads really do add the finishing touch, especially the big gray ones. I washed her last night and this morning she is still a bit damp, hence the wrinkles, but I had to share anyway. I’ll take another photo after she is dry and ironed out. Now on to the Santa project. Hey, I may get that one done by Christmas. It is quite the project. I also have a lot of sewing to do. My next quilt project will be using the Moda, Basic Gray jelly roll that I have. That should be fun.
In other news, CSAP is almost finished!! Yea. Two more days and then we are done. On Friday, we are taking our students to the 3D IMAX theater to see our own private screening of “Alice in Wonderland”. I am tres, tres, excited about that! My students have really gotten into a young adult novel series called The Looking Glass Wars. It is based, very loosely, off of the story of Alice in Wonderland. I just bought that book for my classroom library a few months ago, and apparently it is really good because four or five of my 8th grade boys have devoured it and, on their own accord, gone out and gotten the other books that follow in the series. They are adamant that I must read it, so I shall, but I have to get through another series that they got me hooked on first called The Hunger Games. It is really good. I am on the second book already, just started the first last week. And I’m a little bummed that the third book has yet to be published, but I will be waiting for it. Excellent reading. Ok, well…Hi, ho, hi, ho, it’s off to work I go…
