Window Shopping

Today it is overcast and gloomy.  I am so glad that I made the most of yesterday.  We went to the dog park and you could tell it was the nicest day we’ve had in a long time because the place was packed with a lot of people who won’t brave 20 degree temps during winter.  We have no choice because Penny and Lucy our black labs know that it is Saturday and won’t leave us alone until we make the weekly trip to the dog park, so the warm temperatures yesterday was a nice addition.  After the dog park, I worked in the yard for a while raking and filling trash bags with winter debris.  Now I can look out my kitchen window and not cringe at what a mess it is back there.  We don’t have much grass (we’re working on it), but it is nice to see the neighbor’s yards starting to turn green, slowly but surely.  Yea for March.

I was bored this morning so I decided to do a little window shopping on some of my favorite quilting sites.  I know pretty soon, some of my family members will be asking for ideas for birthday gifts, so I thought I would share of a few of my favorite things right now.  I am absolutely in love with several new fabric lines: Botany by Lauren and Jessi Lung for Moda and Plume by Tula Pink for Moda.

I also love pretty much everything by Anna Maria Horner, but especially her “Little Folks” line, which can only be found in a fabric bundle on her site: annamariahorner.com

Ok, here is one more fabric line.  “Fresh Cottons” by Fig Tree and Co.  I love these fabrics.  They are so girly and pretty and romantic.

On a final note, Nora Corbett, whose cross-stitch patterns I do almost exclusively, has a line of Monogram Letter Patterns out.  Here is my absolute favorite:  the letter E of course, available here: abcstitch

Happy Sunday and Happy Crafting!
