Today was the perfect day to stay inside and scrapbook. It was cold, and gray, and even sputtered snow for a bit. I have to admit that most of the scrapbooking in this album was already done for me thanks to my mom and her company, Inspired Memories. She makes scrapbooks with beautiful papers (this one has some of my favorite papers by Basic Gray) and stickers(check out the Aristocrats sticker on Odin’s page) and the coolest embellishments (paper clips, brads, and sparkles) already put together for you. All you have to do is add the pictures and write in the journaling boxes. She will even make custom designed albums. She made an adorable baby girl album with tropical, whimsical fish embellishments for a baby shower gift where the baby’s parents had done her nursery in tropical fish! And I had her make an album for a wonderful friend who was going to be a grandmother for the first time (a grandmother’s brag book) Congrats, Eva, on your new grandbaby!! I think they are fabulous, and I have given some as gifts, but this album was just perfect to put my kitty pictures in, especially since we have a new addition to our family, Merlin. I can’t believe how much she has grown since we got her in October, and even though, she can be quite a gremlin (she terrorized the good people of my Christmas Village, and cut off their power with one fell swipe of her super sharp kitten teeth) she is still such a joy in our lives. You know my other kitties, Odin and Dulcina, brother and sister that I adopted in 2003 on a visit home to see my parents. They have been saviors to my sanity through the years. Did you know that petting animals like cats and dogs can lower your blood pressure and help you destress? I believe it. As I write, all three of them are curled up together on the bed in my office, content as can be. I think the catnip treat that they got earlier helped out with that a bit. (ha, ha, ha). Well, anyway, I finished putting the photos in my “Meow” album and wanted to share it with you all. I hope you have a great rest of your weekend. Hugs, E

Erica, what a special book. It really is great. It will be something to treasure, and remember your special cats. The books that your Mom makes are really nice and so easy to just enter your pictures and journals and have a wonderful treasure.
I can’t believe that you already have three of your projects finished, and I haven’t even started on the ones I pulled out of the closet. Better get busy-busy-busy today.
